09.11.2022
2pm Kickstart FC - MEG & Center FC
4pm FC Deccan - Bangalore Eagles FC
In the first match of the day at BFS MEG & Center demonstrated its more and more increasing form against third ranked Kickstart FC who had not lost a single game till now. Though experts said that Kickstart would have the better chances to win today it was MEG through Sukesh Leon to take the lead in min. 28 that should last long. But Kickstart, trailing since this goal in the first half, finds the solution in the last moments of the extra time with Arun who secures a deserved point against bravely fighting MEG & Centre. It was the third draw of Kickstart luckily avoiding the first defeat of the season. Kickstart remains 3rd ranked with 9 matches won and 3 draws (30 points). MEG remains 10th with 18 points (5-3-5).
In the second match of today Bangalore Eagles, who surprised the League in the last round with a 1:1 draw against higher rated Kickstart FC, faced FC Deccan - the FC Deccan that suffered a straight 0:3 loss against BUFC in the last round.
And in fact, FCD started very conentrated from the very beginning pressing high in the opponents half. The Eagles needed some time to organize the defence and conceded the first FCD goal early in minute 7 when Shelton Nickson converted a pass coming from Kavi.

Successful tackling of FC Deccan' Kaviarasan (Kavi) against Eagles midfielder Harsha (10).
In the second half it was young talent Prasanna Kumar with a brace in just three minutes (58. / 61.) to make it 3:0 for Deccan. A comfortable lead that was topped in the last minutes of the game with the fourth goal of FC Deccan today by Harsh Utekar.
FC Deccan climbs two ranks in the standings table to eased position 12 with now 16 points (4 wins - 4 draws - 5 lost) . The Bangalore Eagles remain third last (rank 17) with 6 points (1 win - 3 draws - 8 lost), just one point ahead of Young Challengers (1 win - 2 draws - 9 lost).
In the next Round (14) FC Deccan will be free of any match (still consequence of the sudden withdrawal of Jawahar Union right before start of the League). Bangalore Eagles will face their match against THANCO's Student Union - a team presumably same strong like FC Deccan. No easy tasl for the team lead by coach Sunil Christopher. The on paper easiest job in the next round will have MEG facing Young Challengers who have conceded more than double the goals (MEG 17 and Young Challengers 37). Kickstart will duel with new team Agniputhra. All thes three matches will be played at Bangalore Football Stadium on Nov 14.
